Test drove a 5spd Impreza tonight. Overall, really like it. It’s a nicer, safer, AWD place to spend time than the Kia.
If I can get them down a bit and a good price for the Kia.... things may happen.
Look at all those blank buttons. I love base cars. If I buy this, I hope it snows a ton. Both because I want to do AWD snow drives and I will need the claims load to pay for it...
On a professional note, I am really trying to up my sales. Being an independent adjuster is really a sales role, I make commission on the time I bill.

It really needs crank windows to be a “base” car. Power windows are so
bourgeoisie.

Too bad it isn’t a 4-speed for a really base experience.
My car has some blanks (HUD and perhaps night vision or something, haven’t bothered to check), fortunately obscured by the steering wheel while I am driving.
I’d do it just for AC, and longterm resale might be better due to the brand and region.

A test drive never hurt anyone..right?
Apart from that time I almost impulse bought an AMG Mercedes.

I think so to. And really, $7K isn’t much of an increase over several years.

Ok, I almost bought a GTI once. And I would have kept the Fiesta...

Commission is great right up until the phones stop ringing...

True, but I am really trying to build out my client list. So far, some results. Just gotta work hard, whatever happens after that is what it is.

Looks great. I saw a newish m anual WRX driven by a young woman as I was walking into McDonald’s this morning. The manual shifter just makes the center console look so much better — like a real car. I hate automatics with big leather boots.

Why not hatchback?

Price. Like $4K difference real world

Used? Cause MSRP is only 1000 more on 2020s

I honestly can't find a used one

Considering the one you almost bought I counter that it would've hurt less than an E90 M3

I honestly thought that top picture was just a different Kia. Or maybe a Corolla. It's so generic!

I know, that's what makes it perfect.

This was after I’d owned the M3 for around 20 months and it was to supplement not supplant it. It was an 09 with over 90k on it, but it was cheap. I’m really glad I didn’t get it because I got laid off less than two weeks later.
Recently, I’ve been thinking about one again. Might be making a career move that might boast the bottom line.

Yeah I remember, just giving you shit! 09 isn't the best year for reliability anyways, unless you're prepared for all the top end stuff or it's already been done.

I’d be looking at a 12-14 if I was to get one. The interior was basically falling apart in that 09.

I think the last car on the market with wind-up windows here is the Micra, unless the mirage has them?

You’d be surprised. Kia Rio
s, Chevy Sparks & Sonic all come with crank windows, at least in the US. I’ve seen some late model Mazda 3's with manual windows as well. They’re out there, just not too common. Me, I wish manufacturers still made base model cars. Like, really stripped. Manual everything, except brakes. Power brakes are a must. Power steering, on a Spark? Not necessary. A radio, air conditioning and an automatic are really all I need for stripped model daily driver.

On the far right, that blank is for the heated seat controls. The other blank is for X-Mode, which is only available on the Crosstrek, not the Impreza. I believe that button remains blank on all Imprezas.
